The fashion gurus unequivocally admit that there has been an ever growing demand for designer footwear and stylish dress shoes in recent years. A new luxury shoe brand – JLT Wear – has recently arrived on the scene with a promise to make a big difference. Originally, JLT was a family-run ship construction business in North East England that had quite a reputation for excellent craftsmanship, durability of its products and trustworthiness. With their successful run of 150 years they are now trying their hands in the shoemaking business. When Andre Li founded JLT Wear in 2016, he wanted to revive that old reputation of his family business and produce affordable high quality men’s shoes and boots ‘with a touch of world class’. It’s easy to find shoes you love but can’t afford likewise it’s easy to find shoes you can afford, but don’t love. From this frustration was born JLT Wear. JLT Wear promises to pay passionate attention to all aspects of workmanship which had once made the family shipbuilding business quite renowned.
JLT Wear has already launched seven types of stylish men’s shoes and two styles of workmen’s boots. To give them a unique touch, each of the styles is named after a ship made by JLT shipbuilding such as the Embassage, the Drakensburg, The Liberty, etc. For the manufacture, JLT has collaborated with a traditional shoemaking firm in Asia which uses only finest materials and pays great attention to every detail of craftsmanship. All of these designer grade dress shoes and boots have ultra-¬durable leather uppers and soles as well as elegant suede with accented insoles. In order to keep the shoes affordable to common people, JLT has cut off every middleman and marketed the shoes directly to their customers. A group of young and talented designers and experienced artisan shoe-makers are working side by side to provide common people world class comfortable shoes of unique styles and designs. This Kickstarter campaign is expected to begin to manufacture in October and start shipment by December. JLT shoes and boots can be ordered through early October at 20% discount. “We will not skimp on quality or support”, claims Andre, “We will stick during manufacture to the highest standards and the best materials”.
They are absolutely ready to begin the manufacture of their first batch of shoes. Their collaborator shoe-making factory in Asia is said to be quite reliable in terms of the quality of materials and very efficient in production. There is no doubt that JLT Wear will be successful in reviving the old reputation of the JLT family business and make a name in men’s fashion industry. The Kickstarter campaign has already been able to attract 31 backers and collect more than 60 per cent of their estimated funds from crowdsourcing. They can expect to achieve their Kickstarter goal soon enough and start production as planned. We can certainly hope that the brand will be able to expand its business and produce more types of fashionable and durable shoes, belts and other leather products.
