George Powell of London is a mountain biking enthusiast who also elects to commute to work via bicycle. Apart from the exercise, which he finds enjoyable, these commutes can prove troublesome for any number of reasons. However, “troublesome”, is just what got this entrepreneur into action.
“I wanted to resolve the daily travel issues I faced,” said Powell. “The C-Series is the result of the research put into looking at the key issues we all face when commuting to work, whether it be by bike or other means”.
Powell located and nurtured a relationship with a manufacturer to come up with a prototype to his idea. It has been 12 months in the making and it is now go time. With an active campaign on Kickstarter Powell and team are anxiously awaiting the backers to bring these prototypes into manufactured realities.
The company that Powell has formed is WiTology and the afore mentioned C-Series: The Urban Messenger, The Wallet and The Mini is the current mainstay of the company. There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of plusses with the C-Series as WiTology has troubleshot numerous scenarios in its production.
To start, the Messenger is fully water proof coated in wax and DWR. Now you can dance in the rain! The main compartment utilizes a dual magnetic turn lock system which is easy to open with one hand yet strong enough to never spill your contents. The lock can be attached at either of two areas: high up on the bag for larger loads or towards the base of the bag constricting it to snuggly fit smaller loads.
The Messenger has numerous compartments for a wide variety of devices and items that you may need for the office, gym or day trip. The C-Series also packs with it wireless power to keep your mobile devices working up to 10 times full charge. The Messenger has built-in rechargeable LEDs located inside and outside of the bag. Simply press to illuminate the inside of your bag while searching for items or to alert those around you as you walk, bike or tote the bag at night.
“We hope that people will see how much effort has gone into this project so far and want to be a part of our journey to really take it forward,” expressed Powell.
The WiT technology can access phone features including location alerts. With a one press button the C-Series will actually send a signal to your phone to alert you of its whereabouts if forgotten. The C-Series has a 5-year warranty and ships anywhere in the world.
WiTology has had great success in their developmental efforts in producing a highly functional and advanced product, however, learning to navigate and fully utilize Kickstarter for the first time proved overwhelming. “It’s a great platform and the support is excellent but it can be a bit daunting if you have never done something like this before,” Powell explained.

WiTology is hopeful for the future and ready to continue developing its products. When asked about their future developments Powell related the following.
“Once we have the first generation of C-Series range out there we want to get to work on enhancing the technology to perfect the bag. That includes providing more power options in the bag while also making it smaller and more usable…We would like to develop the higher power functions with an improved power supply so we can tap into more phone features. Once we have this ability we can truly customize experiences of the smart products for each user.”
