Every now and then you run across a project that grasps your attention from the start. It's not necessarily the why, rather the what. At times you could be wondering, "What exactly am I looking at?" Which can lead to you being interested in learning more about the product or flat-out exiting the page.
When it comes to Jaclyn Ashley's Kickstarter project, I was definitely intrigued by the item she has displayed on her campaign page. Creator of Shlii, Jaclyn's "goal has always been to brighten the mood of her customers with overly cute and goofy handmade toys and accessories." To continue that mission, she's ready to introduce her new plush toy.
Adding to her line of Norfolk Merdogs, the upper body of a dog mixed with a mermaid's tail, Jaclyn is finalizing the prototype of the newest addition, the Merpug. As explained, "Merpug is a hilarious and absolutely adorable sea creature discovered in the world of Shlii. Merpug enjoys body surfing, chasing schools of fish, and being a general goofball."
A side from its daily activities of being the coolest plush in town, it's also important to note Merpug's physical characteristics. Jaclyn notes, "Each plush measures ten inches tall, is made with soft, high quality fabric, and is embellished with expertly embroidered details."
Shlii has a strong and distinct following, and it's definitely visible based on the support Merpug has received in just the short few days it has launched. With almost a third of the funding completed, Merpug is well under way in reaching its goal by June 27th.
Jaclyn's vision and creativity is present when looking at Shlii products, and Merpug is no different. Merpug has the potential of being a hit, as its uniqueness grabs the attention of many backers. With the brand expanding outside of its regular following, Jaclyn will be able to bring in new backers from the crowdfunding community and continue to do what she loves.
Overall, combining a pug and a mermaid's tail to create a cute Merpug POPs.
