So we all have those items in our homes, apartments and cubicles that we want to display without punching a hole through it with tacks or staples. Not only that but the wall to which it would be mounted does not allow punctures. Constructa Labs from the UK has been working on a simple solution, and that is the Gripstar.
The Gripstar is a clip that utilizes a metal ball that rolls about to secure the inserted object. It is designed to use the object’s own gravitational weight to hold it in place without any marring. The clip comes with an adhesive strip to allow securing to nearly all flat surfaces. The Gripstar has been showcased to support, grip, clip and secure a wide array of objects from paper documents to gym shoes.
There are two elements that I really like about this product. The first is that it is simple. Choosing a wood frame was a good choice. Wood is often representative of simple, natural, and even basic. The second is that it is practical. I can adhere the Gripstar to any surface without worrying if it will stay affixed. Left over residue is non-existent. Also I can choose to hang a picture and not worry about it being damaged by the grip.
This is not a high-tech object so for it to POP off of market shelves and into consumer homes it must be both simple and practical. I find that the Gripstar does just that.
